Slaughter cows, bulls a few cents easier at the Winnipeg livestock market

WINNIPEG - Selling on the slaughter cows and bulls were easier on lean, lower yielding types compared to earlier week's at the Winnipeg livestock market Tuesday. Calves trade were basically steady, while yearlings were fully steady with selective orders.

Total head count: 583

Slaughter cattle 170: Dry fed $32-$35 per cwt; good fleshed $27-$33; lean $20-$27; young/age verified $32-$39; good bulls $35-$43.

Feeder cattle 413: Steers: 900-1,000 lbs $76-$84.50; 800-900 lbs $80-$90; 700-800 lbs $84-$93; 600-700 lbs $90-$99; 500-600 $95-$109.50; 400-500 lbs $100-$114; Heifers: 900-1,000 lbs $72-$81; 800-990 lbs $75-$84.25; 700-800 lbs $78-$87; 600-700 lbs $80-$85.50; 500-600 lbs $83-$98; 400-500 lbs $85-$98.
