Slaughter cows trading steady at the Winnipeg livestock market
WINNIPEG - Trading on slaughter cows and bulls were fully steady compared to earlier week's at the Winnipeg livestock market Friday.
Total head count: 1,487
Slaughter cattle 130: Dry fed $33-$36 per cwt; good fleshed $28-$33; lean $22-$28; young/age verified $32-$40; good bulls $35-$49.50.
Feeder cattle 1,357: Steers: 700-800 lbs $88-$93 per cwt; 600-700 lbs $90-$101, 500-600 lbs $98-$111.50, 400-500 lbs $105-$125, under 400 lbs $105-$120; Heifers 700-800 lbs $75-$84.50, 600-700 lbs $82-$92; 500-600 $84-$94; 400-500 lbs $90-$97, under 400 lbs $95-$106.
