Tapitsfly scores half-length victory in $1 million BC Juvenile Fillies Turf

ARCADIA, Calif. - Tapitsfly has won the US$1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf by a half-length, keeping her undefeated in two starts on the grass.

The two-year-old grey filly ran one mile Friday in 1:34.25 under Robby Albarado. Tapitsfly paid $21.60, $8.60 and $6 at 9-1 odds.

Rose Catherine returned $6.80 and $5.80, while House of Grace was another 3¼ lengths back in third and paid $5 to show.

Ireland-bred Lillie Langtry, the 3-2 wagering favourite trained by Aidan O'Brien, was eighth in the field of 12.

It was the second running of the Juvenile Fillies Turf in the Breeders' Cup's 26-year history.
