Saskatchewan health officials report elderly man, infant, dead of swine flu

REGINA - Two more people in Saskatchewan have died after contracting the swine flu, bringing the H1N1-related death toll in the province to seven.

Dr. Moira McKinnon, the province's chief medical officer, says the dead include an elderly man who died two weeks ago and an infant who died earlier this week.

No information was released on their identities or where they are from.

The province is reporting that up to 1/4 of the patients in Regina hospitals were admitted with swine flu symptoms.

The hospital in Estevan in southeastern Saskatchewan was reporting that about 1/3 of patients coming into its emergency room have the flu.

Hospitals in the rest of the province are reporting a normal to moderate number of flu patients.
